I need an operating system which is lightweight and good for pc gaming. I have been unable to choose between ubuntu and linux mint. I also want to know whether 32 bit or 64 bit version is good for me. Please also recommend any other operating systems which I can look into besides the given two. My computer specs are:-
RAM:- 4 GB
Processor:- Intel I5 3rd generation
Hard disk:- 1 TB
GPU:- Nvidia Geforce GT 630 1 GB

Solution
Always go for 64 bit.
If you want to play games then get windows 7.
Another good linux distro is Arch Linux, but you need to do literally everything manually using command line, so if you aren't experienced linux user and don't want to spend lots of time browsing wiki then just get ubuntu.
Windows is the best option. It supports more games than Linux and is more user friendly. That being said, both Ubuntu and Mint are fairly user friendly. Linux Mint has more of a Windows vibe, while Ubuntu is more like OSX - but that's only on the surface. Underneath, they're pretty similar. Games will run just as well on one as the other.

Do you mind if I ask why you're not considering windows though? Linux's game library has certainly grown lately, but Windows has practically every game available on PC. You can always use WINE to install and play Windows-only games, but there are A LOT of games that don't run well under it.

Well I want an open source operating system.

I have both Mint and Win10 running as dual-boot and I am still using my Windows more for games, especially those AAA games.
For games, Windows is currently the only option, not even MacOS.

Between Mint and Ubuntu,
I choose Mint since it is more Windows-like because it gives me the comfort.
I have been using several versions of Linux like RedHat, Suse, Debian, Ubuntu/Kubuntu and Mint but Mint is the best one for me in my opinion.

I have been using Linux Mint for years and it's always ran fine from machine to machine, ect. desktops, laptops, whatever you throw at it. If you go to "Distrowatch" you will see that Mint stays at or near the top. I got tired of the license crap that Microsoft requires to stay "legal". Unfortunately there are some programs that still will not run without Microsoft but open-source is the future.
