Question Ubuntu vs Netflix

I'm a Ubuntu and Firefox user. I want to sign up for Netflix, but so far it's impossible: the NSEZ 403 error is keeping me from even reaching the home site. I tried Chromium and Chrome browsers with the same effect. The Netflix support basically told to me to get Windows, as there's no troubleshooting for Linux users.

However, according to this guide: https://itsfoss.com/watch-netflix-in-ubuntu-linux/ it should be perfectly fine to use Netflix with Ubuntu. I downloaded the mentioned codecs; there was no need to enable the DRM content or the plugins, as it was all on by default.

Still, it just won't work. How do I get around this without switching to Windows? I'm on Ubuntu 18.04.

u might missing certain network security stuffs
sudo apt install libnss3 libnss3-tools

Since that error is related to account authentication it's on Netflix to guide you no matter the OS. Have you tried incognito/private mode? Have you completely cleared cache & cookies?

I tried a clean Chrome install and a debug mode (no extensions) Firefox, also Chromium. All on three different devices.

Then it looks to be account related and only Netflix can help there.

Just tried it using 20.04 on a 2009 Dell 1545 and no problems. I didn't go through the sign up as I don't particularly like Netflix, but Amazon works just fine.
