Hi,

So i'm thinking of buying a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16" QHD 165HZ, but in the U.K.

I currently live in Portugal and obviously has EU plug configuartions but both seem to have the same Input and Output specs on replacement AC adaptors i've seen online.

Output both 11.5A @ 20V
Input 100-240V @ 3.5A

With this, is the power cable only necessary to replace and not the entire adaptor?

If this is an adapter where the power cable plugs in/can be disconnected then usually, yes. If the adapter that comes with the laptop lists 100 - 240 V it's generally a given that it's designed to work in different countries.

e.g. this site sells a GX20Z46279 listed on the Lenovo website as the Legion Slim 170W adapter, and the site offers to supply it with a plug matching the country required.

We're talking about expensive adapters here, which is why they're more likely to be able to work in multiple regions. The cheaper ones definitely need the specs checking even if they have detachable power cords, and if the power cord isn't detachable it would be extremely foolish to cut and wire on a different plug.

It would probably still be wise to contact Lenovo and get them to confirm it though.

Why buy it from the UK? There'd be import taxes as well as VAT/Portuguese equivalent, I imagine.

Thanks for the reply mate...

It's going to be a present for Christmas, hence why i'm purchasing within the UK and going to bring it over in person.

The power cord I believe may be the only thing that needs changing but will contact Lenovo to make certain.
