Well if you're talking 'REAL SPEED PERFORMANCE FFS!!' then gp4 is a terrible example - its not a benchmarking game, it can run like a dog on the exact same system that you get 40fps, for no reason.

Also, if sandra isnt a good benchmarking tool, why did YOU post it in the first place?! :|
Erm GP4 is VERY cpu/fsb dependent. It auto detects the average FPS for your system depending on ur settings. A few sites have used it (very well too) in their reviews.

I posted sandra results to show that the A64 is good (cmpared to similar cpus) when overclocked - and that it can overclock.

Did i ever mention anything like Athlon 64 is the best its even the fastest in sandra????? What the hells wrong with you guys. The only thing im guilty off is saying that you cant beat the A64 - which at the moment is the case in gaming which is what the original poster asked about. Or am i wrong?

My point exactly. He posted the score right after claiming nothing beats an A64. I was just taking advantage of his mistake to have some fun and prove his statement wrong at the same time. Just look how defensive he's getting. It's hilarious. Want to show OC'MHz, that shows up in 3dmark2001se. Want to say hey my A64 overclocks, look... post wcpuid results. Want to brag about your A64... post a benchmark score. That's what he did. Not my fault he picked a bad one.
So ur deliberetly trying to stir sh1t - hey if thats what turns you on then fine.

But if a simple sandra screen shot and someone sayin "cant beat the athlon 64" gets you so wound up that you have to try and make the A64 sound like an overpriced and under performing peice of kit then somethings wrong with you.

Your next few comments prove your just trying to get attention which has worked so far but I'm already getting fed up of these sh1t stirring comments.

Anyway, justify your purchase any way you want. Defend your synthetic benchie scores YOU posted by saying you only care about real game fps. Buy FRAPS and benchie away. Do what you want. I won't argure with you, Your big talk isn't hurting my FPS. Games are running smooth here. SO why should I care.
Did i not make it clear why I posted the screen shots in the first place? Did i make any annotation about my scores being faster than an overclock XP or intel rig????

Just because I post sandra scores that seem low - im having to try and defend my point of view that no matter what sandra tells you its completely wrong when it comes to real world performance.

Bottom line is - YOU CAN'T beat an athlon 64 for games which is what the original poster asked about....

Let me guess - your going to remind me again that I posted my sandra overclocking results - don't bother because if you havn't figured out why I posted in the first place then you never will........

Well the first quote wasn't mine, so I won't reply to it.

As far as the other ones, I think I can basically sum it up by saying I was originally responding to someone else for fun, showing that your benchies did prove something. :)

Anyway, relax, don't get too worked up because we had some fun with your pics/scores. I do get a little tired of people hyping A64 as the only option right now. I personally think NF2 and i865pe mobos are superior to NF3 and KT800. i think socket 939 is more appealing. But, I agree the A64 is a speedy chip. I agree it is born to game. And no it isn't an underperforming piece of garb. As far as overpriced, that's a matter of personal opinion and budget. I say a P4 3.2GHz is over priced IMO too. 2.8C looks good to me. Overclocked XP2500+ has great value. Only bad thing I can say about A64, personally I believe waiting for better mobos is a smart move. i think it is too early to be buying A64 now, when much better options are on the way.

So again, enjoy your gaming rig. No doubt it flies. I still think you had a nice rig before, except for the open case with a house fan blowing contaminents into it. That's aweful.
