How wonderfully energy efficient we are becoming. As we use our power hungry quad-core, multi-gigabyte memory, RAID 5 multiple GPU behemoths, we can take comfort in knowing we're save a few watts on the display. :)

50w/h saved * 8 hours a day * 365 days a year * $0.20/kW•h = $29.2 saved a year. This is well worth the small premium paid if you're like me and use the same monitor for more than 3 years and more than 8 hours a day.
