Ultrawide Vs. 1080p

I've already made a post about this but I just want t be sure. I've read some reviews on this 25 inch ultrawide monitor:
http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-25UM57-25-Inch-LED-lit/dp/B00V8FAWC2/
and some people said it was smaller than they thought. I'm comparing it to this 24 inch 1080p normal monitor:

So can somone give me the difference in size between the 2, preferably in LxWxH? Thanks!

Solution
25 inch ultra wide: 24 x 15.1 x 7.4 inches

24 inch 16:9: 22.2 x 7 x 15.8 inches

Remember the size of the screen is measured from the upper right corner to the lower left corner or vice versa.

So a 25 inch ultra wide wont be as tall (from top to bottom) as a 24inch 16:9 but it will have more pixels (2560x1080 vs 1920x1080).

I would not do an ultra wide mainly because it is 21:9 aspect ratio and very few games have native support for 21:9 and no movies use 21:9. 4K is also a 16:9 standard.

It is best to normally stick with the more common standards rather than the uncommon one. If you want more than 1080p you can go to 144p which is 16:9 and 2560x1440 resolution.
