un;ocked the multi or r u full of it? *DELETED*

Mate,

ALL you do is close the L1 bridges. I managed it with a simple sharp pencil with no probs. Some say use metal paint (like for repairing car window heaters or metal tracks). Pencil still works, but metal paint will be better.

The information IS in there, but I admit it did take a while to find the exact info I needed.. i.e. ONLY close the L1 bridges. That is IT!. I did it, it worked.

I dont have any pics.. I actually tried to take a pic with my dig cam (pic of the broken die) but it didnt come out. You DO have to be very careful, but with young eyes and a steady hand its not too hard at all.

People are not joking about doing this 😉

Once I get a replacement for my broken 800 (and you were crying!!!! LOL) I'll be re-doing the L1's STRAIGHT AWAY! No point not doing it.

And whats this about epoxy? Can you explain what the epoxy is and what you were doing with it, precicely.

And what is this "kit" My kit was an HB pencil and a sharpener. I found a well sharpened pencil to be better than a 0.5 mm mech pencil. Just my opinion.

Thanks,

Tom...

well the kit is from the overclocking store its called the " unlocking silver epoxy for amd duron and tbird"
it cost 9.95
it has a diagram and shows the l1 locked / unlocked / and done wrong.
the problem is on my chip the l1 bridges are 4 gold or copper looking very small thingys, connectors or whatever .
looks like this
- -
- -
- -
L3 - - L1
NOW the l1 are as seen above there own little things , not broken not split.
so what do i connect?
i connected the L1 and L3 bridges! im glad im up and running now.
the diagram looks like this

L1 locked L1 unlocked
- - ---
- - ---
- - ---
- - ---
now my L1 doesnt look split into two pieces like that and the L3 brudges running next to them make the two diagrams very similair.
i guess im close but what do i do exactly??

Lumper, go to your post of "an easy 1..." i've put some links and ASCII art to help you at that since the ones you putted/have here are not very well clear
