Unable to adjust screen brightness after "Bios Update"

I have sony vaio. I'm using windows 8.1. Recently my vaio care showed me message that update is available for BIOS. I updated it nd it was done successfully. Now i'm facing problem that my function key for adjusting brightness is not working . whereas key for volume ..nd others are working fine. I tried to adjust brightness manually (without the use of Function key) but nothing is happening .! I googled for my problem nd found that unistalling bios update is not possible. PLZ help me .. my screen brightness is set to lowest possible nd it has become difficult for me to work .
Another idea coming to my mind is to RESTORE SYSTEM. will it help me nd uninstall that bios update..??

Try updating the Drivers for your Vaio from the Sony Support website, especially any relating to Keyboard.
