Unable to come out of Hibernate

I have a PC, which I inherited from my dad when he upgraded, I have jazzed it up a bit with a new GPU etc... and since it is a desktop running Windows, I have been forced to create a shortcut containing C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState 0,1,0 which hibernates my PC, this has worked fine up until just recently when I have started to receive a message when starting up my PC:
"Your computer can't come out of hibernation.

Status: 0xc000000d

Info:A fatal error occurred processing the restoration data.

File: \hiberfil.sys

Any information that was not saved before the computer went into hibernation will be lost."
I cannot remember making any changes specifically to my computer around the time it failed.

Other things I have noticed recently:

When I boot my PC, I recieve a notification saying Performance options asking me to set settings concerning Processor Scheduling and Virtual Memory.

When I attempt to enter hibernate most of the time my PC instantly starts back up again and after several attempts it stays off, then when I reboot I get the aforementioned message.

P.S. I ran Check Disk recently with /f and this did not fix it

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys!

Why would you want to manually hibernate?
You can configure the power settings to hibernate after a set time of being idle.
If you are finished with the machine, shut it down.

As for what you problem is, is hiberfil.sys on C: drive? How much free space do you have?

I don't know where my Hiberfile.sys is, I have 22.8 GB free on Drive C:\ and how do you recommend I set my power settings?

PS I don't know how your solution was suddenly picked as best, I didn't click that, oh well, any way I can undo it?

Set your power settings based on how you want the machine to behave.
The default profile is "balanced" which I think puts the computer to sleep after 2 hours.

To find hyberfil.sys, change your explorer view options to show protected operating system files.

Edit: hyberfil.sys can only be on the boot drive (i.e. C:\hyberfil.sys).
As above, change the view properties so you can see the file and ensure that it still exists.
I expect that this file will be the same size as your physical system memory.
