Unable to connect internet sharing with my PC from my windows mobile

Hello,
I am Having windows XP OS in my desktop PC and my mobile is WM6.0 , when i am trying to perform Internet sharing that time my PC is not accruing IP , I am having realtek PCI GBE Family controller

How do you connect your mobile phone to it ? USB cord ? If not buy a USB cord.
Check with the phone co. if your phone is ready for "Tethering" if yes, see if any updates to your phone (backup all data).
