I try to start CoD:AW Multiplayer but the same error keeps popping up saying: "The call of duty Advanced Warfare online services are not available at this time" or something similar. I bought the game yesterday (9th) and was able to play then. I dont know if it is my internet connection sucking so much a*s or if the game is F:ed up... My question is, can you join it? I have e-mailed my internet provider about my speeds because they are also messed up. paying for 30, getting hardly 5 at some points.

Solution
I have exactly the same problem, I don't think the problem is on your side. For me it usually works on the third try (by that I mean clicking on Play Online).

My advise, see if it works if you click on "Play Online" again after receiving the error. And also report the bug on the CoD forums (like I did) so the developer can fix it 😉

I am having the same problem. I have got a 100mb fibre line and connect fine to every game except advanced warfare.

I have only been able to connect to mp once in the whole 2 months of owning the game.

I have disabled firewalls, reinstalled the game 3 times and just nothing is working.

The time I connected I done nothing different. I can press the online button to connect continuously for 15 mins and get no where connecting. Please advise.

Thank you.

as MetaPhysicalHiccup said

1. Make sure COD is closed.
2. OPen Router config (wifi) and disable (UPnP) - apply the settings
3. Re-enable UnPP and then Apply - try game after that - should go right in and show NAT-OPEN.

this works every time I have the problem.

I have tried this solution but it does not work, followed disabling Upnp and then enabling it.

Thanks

I am also having troubles connecting to the game, with my PC. I have Virgin Media, using the SuperHub 2 with 150Mbps download speed.

I have tried every possible combination in the router, like (but not limited to): switching DMZ on and off, switching UPnP, port forwading, disabling my router's firewall, etc... No joy!

Out of 100 times I click on PLAY ONLINE, I'll connect 2 to 3 times, if I am lucky (no exaggeration). On the odd occasion when it does connect, the NAT TYPE is MODERATE, which as we all know, makes the game suck elasticated pants.

I will try and take a ticket with Activision, in order to establish the route of the problem, and a solution.

I am surprised that with so many people experiencing this problem, a viable solution has not been found.

I think it's unacceptable, that to play a damn game, we have to mess around with our routers settings every time we want to play, like performing an OCD ritual.

I'll post on here, when I have more information to provide.

Agreed. I'm with virgin media but I'm not even sure if it is on our end. Still I have not found a solution.

Thanks

No problem,

The ticket system helpline, doesn't open until 6pm (11am PDT), so you may not get a response from until this evening.

How ever I will respond! Hopefully, with a solution! 😀

OK, as promised here is my response:

After a lengthy chat with one of the Activision Support guys, i came to the realization, that they in fact do not know how to fix the problem, and simply read off a sheet. The same sheet you can find in the Activision Forums.

What he did give me, where ports:

TCP: 27014-27050
UDP:3478, 4379-4380, 27000-27031, 27036

Do not use them all at the same time, as it will not work, but rather add each rule, and enable one only, until you find one that works. Once connected, the NAT TYPE will be OPEN.

After you have added the rules, you must reboot your hub before starting the game, in order to properly sync with the Activision servers.

To the Virgin Media user, the port that worked for me was: 4379-4380 (if you need any help doing this, ask, and I will post screen shots on how I did it).

I hope this works for you all.

What are the settings to apply?

-- PC player here. Sorry but followed the UPnP reset instructions on my router (I have 75Mb FIOS) and it isn't working. This problem occurs to one degree or another every other time I try to play Advanced Warfare MP. Tonight, it's occurred 7 consecutive times. I'm writing this right now because I'm not playing!! All my other online games connect normally.

You wanna friggin' elaborate a little? You vying for the most useless comment on the thread or what?

get access to Router/Moden than in firewall setting or security settinge change settings to minimum or turn it off I tested this with my router. I tested this while I was on my laptop & COD ghost I wanted I see what Changes let's me online. I found that every time i kept changing back fourth to typical security from minimum security I was finally able to connect to the COD servers when selecting minimum security. So if you have this setting on your router or moden this is the fix for it.

i had the same problem until i started fiddeling around in my router settings.
1. open network and sharing center
2. change adapter settings
3. right click on local area connection and click properties
4. check internet protocal v6 if it is unchecked.
it worked instantly for me i hope this helps

Please help me.

Here's a quick fix .. don't like it, but it works...

Start CoD: AW singleplyer. After the intro, where you can choose campain, multiplayer and such, choose multiplayer. It will now connect correctly.

I am using a VDSL connection based on IP technology. I have called my ISP for the paket loss i get when i do a pathping test to my provider. If you look into ' Options ' / 'System Info ' you should see bandwidth. If its below 1000 kbps you may have issues with packet loss aswell. Please check ur packet loss by using ' Command Prompt ' as admin and type in following line. This test will take up to 5 minutes until it's finished with all results.

pathping www.xxxx.com > C:\pathping.txt
( xxxx your providers url name )

been another month or 2 now Managed to finally get it to just connect to the main menus of Multiplayer but now when ever I search for a game it still just spams "Testing matches" goes up to a 100% with what ever amount of games found then resets to 0 and does it all over again.

Anyone figured out how to fix this shit yet?

I can't get on either, what do you mean by selecting "play online"?

Guys, I have been struggling to connect to COD AW online since buying it at the start of the year and only managed to connect once.. In the end I gave up and uninstalled the game.

However fancied giving it another go today (same issue came up)..... however BELOW worked a treat. Straight away.

Thanks you very much!
