Unable to connect to XBL via ICS anymore

Hey guys, since September, i've been in university and i've been connecting to XBL by connecting onto the uni internet and then using ICS to my xbox. It's been working up until wednesday and i can't seem to get it work. My LAN keeps latching the the 169. ip address and i've read/looked everywhere, i've restarted the laptop, deleted the wireless network and re-connected to it, i've disabled the adapters but nothing's worked and i can't seem to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated; Cheers.

If its a university supplied router/modem that your connecting to, please contact your IT Department and inform them. And what do you mean by ICS. Are you using Internet Connection Sharing for something as a hotspot or something. Please give a bit more detail of your network setup and device set up. To me, how im reading it, its sounding like a University problem but since ICS is in play, that changes it.
