I have about 50 pictures in a folder that i set as my background which i set to the "slideshow" settings under personalization. However the background does not change at all even if i right click on the desktop and click on "Next desktop background". However when i hold windows+tab, the desktop will go into the task view and my background will be different after i select a tile.
This background slideshow used to work for windows 8.1 but hasn't been working since i upgraded to windows 10. Does anybody know of any solution?

that "refreshed" my wallpaper but didn't fix the problem of not being able to cycle it, similar to pressing windows and tab to go into task view

Alright I found out how to fix this issue, click on search and type this %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\

Now you should see a file called transcodedwallpaper. rename it to transcodedwallpaper.jpg and it should work. Hope i helped someone out there other than myself.

Thanks man that worked. Just a heads up, if you don't see transcodedwallpaper, click view near the top, check hidden items and it should pop up since it was hidden. Then change it to jpg.
