can any one please tell us how to enable administrator access in windows 10 os i have tried lusrmgr option in the windows prompt but no use

Was this your only admin account on PC? you should have just made a new local account as i don't think you have an admin on that PC now. you threw that away when you switched user type.

You may have to reset PC and wipe it so no user data is kept and start again. If you have permissions problems copying out of folders and such, you can try to do this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/ as linux doesn't care about win 10 permissions. if you have a 2nd drive in pc, copy everything u want to keep onto it. A reset will wipe all programs and data off C drive.

I can't do miracles, if you can't change anything on that user, and you don't have another admin account on PC apart from the built in one, I am not sure what to do. You can ask on http://www.tenforums.com/user-accounts-family-safety/ and see if they have a better idea.

I don't know what type of user it would make if you do a keep files/settings reset. it may just put you back where you are. Its why I suggested the other reset.

I am not trying to make this difficult, if there was an easy answer I would have posted it right away.

The thing is even to do that reset it is asking for an administrator password which I don't know at all I tried it out in safe mode too still it asks for an administrator password. I got to get this thing going with out any fuzz

can any one in this world please tell me how change my standard user account or local account to administrator account i have been trying each and every thing from the beginning but nothing's working out

The only way, I know, to change a standard user to admin is by using another admin account to convert it. If you don't have an admin account on PC, I don't know if you can.

You can share a screen shot but I have used a local account before and you get asked for the admin password on almost every command.. this user is local and I gave it admin real fast as it gets old quick.

Do you have access to another PC? If so, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB - its a handy boot disc if nothing else.

this might get you past the need for a password
change bios order so it boots off USB first, hdd second
boot from installer
on second screen, after language choices, choose repair this PC, not install

Now you could try system restore and pick a date prior to you changing your status, that might work, I don'tr know if it remembers user info - you find it in troubleshoot/advanced/system restore

how to share a screen shot here?

So, here's the thing.

There is a way to solve your problem, but because of forum rules we can't tell you about.

What you need to do is Google your problem, and think more about what is the root cause preventing you from having access to the accounts.

Or you can reformat and reinstall Windows, but that will erase all your data.

What is the biggest concern? do you want to save documents/music folders?

Or you just don't want to have to start installing everything again??

we can't help you get Admin access, so accept that, but I did offer a way to recover your information, either using linux live DVD or move hdd into another PC as a 2nd drive and copy everything you want to save off it - or just use a USB drive. If you have a steam library full of games, you can copy the entire folder to another drive and then re copy it back into windows once PC fixed, and once Steam client installed, point the library location to old folder and steam will find the games again - saves downloading them all.

We can't help dramatically with the time it takes in getting all your data back onto PC. But if you can save as much as possible off the PC before you reinstall Win 10, then the time it takes to return to normal is reduced

This is a mistake you can learn from and remember what not to do. I fell sorry for you but there isn't anything I can do to help.

actually the thing is i have upgraded my pc to windows 10 so as you said i have some important files that's been saved to c drive any way thanks for the advice i will do what i can do to get my pc back.

Getting Win 10 back is one of the easy parts

On another PC, download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

and your licence key is easy too as when you upgraded to win 10 you got a digital entitlement to always install win 10 on that pc again. So when you hit part of install asking for a key, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will reactivate itself on install.
