Hello group.

I thought I could make an OS DVD/CD using two CDs and splitting the files. So I used what was available, one DVD+RW and one DVD+R.

I erased and re-formated the DVD+RW and it is empty now but the DVD+R does not accept to be erased matter of fact there is no erase option on the window, only a "format" option when i right click it.
Also if I had to choose the option "format" it only lets me format like half of it and the other half is occupied with files I either pasted or burnt into it.

Is this normal? I don't know the difference between DVD+WR and DVD+R CDs. Maybe someone who does can help.

Solution
A "DVD+R " is not rewritable. Write once only, no adding, no erasing.
Once finished, it is done.

You cannot erase it.

DVD+RW = Read/Write many.
DVD+R = Write Once, Read many.

A DVD-R is a write ONCE medium. There is no erasing. You buy a new one.
