Hello!
I am using a Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 wireless card on a Lenovo W541 laptop (Windows 10 Professional). This has been a problem I have been experiencing for over a month. This originally spawned when I would leave the laptop, or close it down, when coming back up, and then I would lose connection to my Wi-fi point. When I would attempt to find the Wi-fi point again, I would get an "No Wi-fi networks found."
This issue does not occur on other computers, they are able to connect to wifi points without issue, so please don't point me to rebooting routers/modems/etc. It occurs regardless of location.
I have done the following:
Disabled/Enabled the card in Network Connections via Control Panel
Uninstalled/reinstalled the driver via Control Panel
Did a System Restore to a restore point (when this issue did not occur)
Removed driver from Device Manager/reinstalled driver.
All reinstalls of the driver have been with the latest available on Lenovo's site. Furthermore, I can confirm that all Windows Updates have been applied.
What is interesting is that if I reboot my laptop, wireless Internet will work for about 5 minutes, and then the issue would reproduce, first with the yellow warning icon over the Wireless icon on the systray. I'd disconnect from the Wi-fi point, I'd get the red icon noting that Wireless is not working or not connected. I am able to plug an Ethernet cord into the laptop and get Internet without issue.
Event Viewer does spawn the following error however:
The description for Event ID 5035 from source NETwNb64 cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
\Device\NDMP4
Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file
Internet research on this event ID or this issue hasn't brought up a surefire answer or solution to this issue, just a lot of potential troubleshooting steps with no resolution.
Any immediate help would be wonderful.
