I've tried using the adapter, but after installing and uninstalling it about 5 times without it working it's not reading any networks (despite the fact I've got another computer connected within 3 feet of it), and in the driver list of the Adapter (Belkin N300) has an ! and says "setup incomplete, connect to internet" - which I can't do, for obvious reasons.

The USB drives work perfectly (I had my mouse and keyboard in them just moments ago and they worked), the adapter itself works fine (put it in other computer, without using the CD, and could use it instantly)

The adapter isn't registering on the "change adapter settings" option, only Ethernet is.

I have a Gigabyte AMD 760G but the CD's not even reading anymore and even when it did it said it was incompatible with my Windows 10.

Solution
Well youre here now get them with the pc youre on now

If it doesnt appear in device manager by the ethernet. then its either faulty or there are no drivers installed

The N300 is the router not the adapter. Whats the adapter?

How do I know if I have the Driver or not? It seems to be registering, just incompletely or something. The only odd thing is, while it appears in the drivers menu, in the "Choose an adapter" one only the ethernet shows up.

And how do I get it off of a site when I can't connect to the internet on that computer?

N300 IS the Adapter. I have the box right here and it reads "N300 high performance Wi-Fi USB Adapter".

And I can just move them onto that PC with a USB drive or something?

Okay, yeah, just downloaded the driver http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=4736 and literally all it did was the EXACT same thing the CD that came with the device's been doing. There is no change, even after the umpteenth prompted restart of my computer.

Untick what options?

And yeah: Model: F9L1002v1

Nothing. The green flashing light isn't even working on it (which is does when I plug it into other comp).

No, but as before it's being listed as a device (in all device folders) with the notice: "Setup Incomplete. Connect to the Internet."

It doesn't show me any connections. The icon's still just the computer/cable with the red-circled x, the only option that shows up in it is "Network Settings" and all that does is take me to the "Data usage" folder.

And the notice isn't an option. It's just a notice.

"Connected Devices" and "Devices and Printers" - the latter of which I need to hover over to see.

It is. It has the same yellow-triangle exclamation point alert mark here.

"Windows cannot load the device driver for the hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Object Name not found."

And the USB ports work fine. I just took the Adapter out and plugged my mouse into the same port it was in - no problem at all.

OK the drivers may not work then. Try this. You have to use Internet explorer to use this site

http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=belkin%20n300

Get the top file. You need something that extracts cab files. Once its extracted.

Go to the entry for it in device manager

Driver tab / update driver / browse my computer / let me pick.

Then go to the folder that extracted. Load the inf file in this folder

See if that fixes it

Downloaded.

What do I need to get to extract cab files? (I'm assuming you mean "on the PC with the problems" here)

[strike]I've got a specific set of 7-zip options for it, but none of them are extract. A number of Compress, though. Did I get the wrong file? I grabbed the Realtek Semiconductor Corp. N300 USB that was at the top.
[/strike]
Nevermind. My bad. Had to go INTO the file.

What would it be listed as in Device Manager? I'm seeing a Realtek PCle GBE Family Controller file but I don't think that's it (tried to update with file, no success).

Is the Inf File the Setup Information one?
