Hi,
I'm currently using Windows 2000Pro and I'm having difficulty install the ATI Catalyst 3.7 Drivers. The setup instructions for the installation of drivers is to remove the current drivers and reboot, afterwards install the new drivers. The problem is that after I reboot, Windows 2000Pro auto detects and installs the older driver version automatically without letting me to cancel the installation. In the end I end up in square 1, back to the old drivers. Please help thanks.

Okay, I've fixed this problem by using ctrl alt delete to end the install program. I'm using a Hercules 9600Pro vid card and should I use the Hercules driver from their website which is Cat 3.6 or the ATI driver which is Cat 3.7? Will there be any conflicts if I use the ATI driver?

Search around, there are some driver removal software programs out there that will completly remove a driver from your comp.

As to compatibility, the ATI drivers should work fine. If you want, install the 3.6 drivers that came with the card and do a benchmark, then install 3.7, see if they are an improvement or not.
