Please am having a serious problem to install windows 10 on my hp elitebook 840 G2 (4Gb RAM, 500Gb HDD). I try to boot in UEFI native with my USB CD ROM it will ask me to boot from CD ROM, but if I press any key it will restart and stuck on hp logo. I try using UEFI hybrid it repeat the same thingng. I perform all these while data execution prevention is enabled. Please you contribution will be appreciated. Thanks.

The OS on the pc before is windows 7 and have format the windows but unable to install windows 10 due to one MBR and GPT error message. So since it shows this MBR error message am unable to boot into windows 10 installation.
I downloaded it and burn it into CD.
Yes I set the USB generic device as 1st boot on both boot options.
  1. What was the original OS on the unit (Assume Win 8)?
  2. Where did you get the Windows 10 ISO?
  3. What if you change the Boot Priority to USB first?

So since it shows this MBR error message am unable to boot into windows 10 installation.
Clean the drive before installing windows onto it. Use diskpart clean method (this wipes all data from the drive).
If you have partition structures already on the disk, that are incompatible with chosen install type, then you get this error.
