unable to launch MSTS Ex collection after install

The install of Microsoft train simulator, exclusive collection, went fine, when trying to launch I get a window "cannot locate the CD-ROM" with message "please insert the correct CD-ROM and restart application". The Install came with 2 CD s, insertion of either does not help.
What to do?
