I havent used Gigabyte App Center, or Siv very often, but thought I would check out the Gigabyte website the other day. Decided to update App Center and Siv but had issues doing that so uninstalled both apps and thought I would try again with fresh install of the apps.
I am now unable to install them again.
The App Center zip file has UpdPack.exe and verinfo.ini files, but no "setup.exe" . I tried the UpdPack.exe, and it "sort of" installs App Center. There are all the files installed, and several .exe files in the folder, but ApCent.exe doesnt do anything if I select it. Same goes for Launch.exe, and the only app that does anything is RunUpd.exe which does bring up the Aorus App Center window. with headings, Gigabyte apps, windows settings and third party software, but nothing else.
If i remember correctly, SIV used to appear in this window and I could select it from there.

So I then tried installing SIV, - 2 apps in the unzipped folde r- Setup.exe and Updpack.exe. When I try to open either one of them a window pops up saying "SIV is the latest version". I am sure I deleted all files, firstly via add/remove program, and then double checked and deleted the gigabyte folder in my program files.

At my wits end on how to install these 2 apps so they run correctly. I realise they are not very good apps from what I have read, however I have tried other apps (mainly for fan control) but other apps only recognise my GPU fan, and at least SIV recognised, CPU, GPU, and 2 or 3 of my case fans.

Can anyone help? Thanks

What is the model for your Gigabyte motherboard? Might want to also check and see what your BIOS version is at this moment of time.

As for your app, what OS are you working with? if you're on Windows OS, and with Windows 10 or above, try and installing the app in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

On that note, did you source the installers from here;
?

Yes, I used that website for the downloads. Using Win 10. Did try run as adminstrator too. Board is Aorus B550 Elite AX v2. I have not checked my BIOS. I did note on researching on various websites, other people have had same issue in the past, but I could not find a definitive answer to the problem.

Can you update BIOS? How do I do that?

I have only accessed start up bios once, the other day, to check the fan settings (smart fan 5 came up on bios) but didnt amend anything. Also in bios , on the same screen there was cpu, fan temp warning window, but it was set at disabled. Is that correct?

Guess I can leave bios to run the fans etc, but it was handy having smart fan 5 on my desktop to check and amend if I needed to some time in the future. SIV and the App Center brought up Smart Fan 5 before - I guess there is no separate download for it, but only via SIV etc.
I am bit annoyed other fan controllers only recognise GPU though.

Thanks
