Hi,
I have an Asus Blu-ray XL Re-Writer.
Recently, it stopped reading BD-50 discs properly.
As per my observation, when it switches from layer 0 to 1 it gets stuck and takes hours to complete the read.
I have a lot of Blu-ray movies most are burned on BD-25, some on BD-50 discs and others are original Blu-ray movie discs.
The issue is only with BD-50 discs whether burned or original.
The video rip or mostly direct copy process continues fine up to around 23GB but beyond that it gives error saying that the disc is damaged/ data unreadable.
Sometimes the copy process just fails, if it doesn't then the resulting video file has breaks/stutters halfway into the movie or even later.
For example: A 2hr 30mins movie will start having issues at around 1 hour or 1:15 mark and this is followed with out of sync audio for the rest of the movie.
P.S.> These discs work fine on my Blu-ray Home Theater.
Please help.
