[SOLVED] Unable to remove GPU from motherboard.

I can't remove my GPU from the motherboard.



The tail end of the GPU is STUCK into the end latch.

I pressed down the latch prior to removal yet the GPU has jammed itself in there.

I tried pushing down the plastic latch with a screwdriver but the GPU is simply not budging.

Help?

Its a push down latch.

In any case, I managed to do it with a lot of brute force and with the help of my brother.

The tail end of my GPU seems really thick.

Good that you fixed it.
I always check how the latch works before installing a graphics card.
Unfortunately, by the time I need to use the latch, I forget.

You were lucky not to have damaged anything. Some years ago I had the same problem and damaged a motherboard :-(.

The issue was removing the GPU as opposed to installing.

It's odd because I did not have any issues with my previous RTX 2080. It was very easy to remove.

This RX 570 on the other hand gets stuck every single time.

That sucks. What happened to the mobo? PC wouldn't boot up anymore?
