Hello everyone

I have lurked in the shadows at Tom's Hardware for years and finally I have emerged to ask a question which I can't seem to find the answer to. I have recently upgraded to a MSI motherboard and everything seems to working fine.
when I place the ram in DIMM slots 2 and 4 which are recommended by MSI to run in dual channel. my onboard led shows me and error 2b (or 26 i can't tell). if i try to place it in DIMM slots 1 and 3 i get the same error. however if i placed the sticks in slot 1 and 2 the computer boots up just fine and everything runs smoothly except it's not in dual channel can't some help me out. Thanks

CPU: 4790K
Motherboad: MSI Z97 Gaming 5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance pro 1600 Mhz

thank you for your quick responses, however the page doesn't list the code i mentioned above. also I have done a memtest and it found no errors. I do want to mention this though, which i was looking at my system config under AIDA64. It shows that both of my sticks are running under "ChannelB-DIMM0" and "ChannelB-DIMM1" and both of the Channel A-DIMM0 AND 1 are empty. I am wondering if for some reason the ChannelA is disabled. is this something I can manualy enable or disable?
