I recently upgraded my pc hardware (Toshiba Satellite c50 A) by adding SSD 256 gb and extra ram of 4 gb. Now my ram is 8 gb. Before upgrading hardware, I also had window 10, but old version (I had disabled updates). After the hardware upgrade, I installed the lattest version of window 10 by as usual process - going to bios menu, then boot menu, change the boot priority to SSD (I was trying to boot from the pen drive, but the technician who upgraded my hardware, told me to boot from this new SSD, thus made it 1st priority...), then clicked F10, then install open open.....blah blah...then I was able to install os...then made updates and able to use pc.

Now I want to install OS again. Intialy I was unable to open the bios menu (in my pc I have to press F2 after start); then I watch some YouTube video and they told me to force shut down and then try again. I did and then able to open the bios menu.

Then I go to the boot menu. Here No matter what I tried, I was unable to boot. I tried changing priority to SSD/pen drive, then F10 for save-exist....No success...always opening normal window..not the install option.
//Check my boot menu screenshot: https://prnt.sc/25zsznm

I cross checked my pen drive, all fine...create bootable again and again using Rufus. Used both MBR/GPT partition ways.

I tried changing my window account to local account....

Tried all possible search in google...

Plz help...how to boot from my pendrive and install OS again ?

EFI system partition is UEFI bootloader.
The partition you increased from 50MB to 550MB is useless now.
You can delete I: and J: partitions and D : partitions. After conversion to GPT there is no function for them.

GPT doesn't support extended partition and logical drives.
Thanks for replay.

1) But in ' I ' partition it still shows as system reserved. Is it safe to delete it and merge with c drive.

2) Should I increase the EFI to 500 mb too.

I am not 100% sure what a logical drive is, I can see it relates to making more partitions and it doesn't apply to GPT
MBR max partition number without logical drives is 4
GPT max partition number is technically unlilmited but windows may limit it to 128 still.

MBR max drive/partition size is 2.2tb
GPT max drive/partition size is 18.8 million tb

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi...e/desktop/windows-and-gpt-faq?view=windows-11

Now I am going to reinstall window using GPT partion way in the Rufus. Before this I have some questions.
Why? What's the point in doing that?
1) Is everything fine in the SSD. Should I increase any drive's size (ex: EFI drive) or delete/merge any drive (ex: the unknown drive which contain the old recovery data while it was MBR)
If you're going to reinstall everything, then just clean tho OS drive before installing windows. Have only single drive connected, while installing.
2) There is no option to convert any drive to logical in my HDD. Is this fine in GPT. I searched in Google, but found no info.
GPT doesn't support logical drives.
3) While installing window, should I format the all partion of ssd like the system reserved, c drive, EFI, the unknown drive..
See answer to question #1.

I deleted the unnnecessery drives, and increased the size of EFI. But you also said to move it to forward. But it is below c drive. How to do it. I tried changing its letter to 'I' using mini too. Still it is below C drive.
The idea was - to delete 550MB partition. This would result in unused space in the beginning of the drive.
Then you could move/copy EFI system partition to beginning of the drive.

But now you moved C: partition to beginning of the drive. There's no unused space anymore. You can't move EFI System partition there.
Leave it as is. It's fine.

Stop. if you clean installing windows 10, don't worry about partitions before. They will all be wiped in the install process

run installer with only 1 drive attached.
Thanks for replay. Can you tell me why I should remove another drive (HDD) while installing window. Will there be any problem if I install while it is attached.

You can see my current disk stats in the above imag.

My plan of reinstall:
1) format the SSD c drive and the EFI drive while I am in the installation page. Then install in the SSD c drive.. This was a screenshot shot of yesterday when I was in the disk page of installation: https://paste.pics/FJW0C

//One question: if I do that, will window will create another EFI automatically or it will be in my old EFI partition anyway.

2) Or should I format, merge the whole SSD and then install there..

Opps😆, I forgot to follow your idea. Feel relief to know that it is fine. Now I am going to reinstall window with Rufus + gpt and my bios as hefi boot...can you read my recent replay below ' colif' and give your opinion.

Because during windows install you do not normally control, where bootloader gets placed.
If there is a bootloader on any of connected drives, then new bootloader doesn't get created. Your new windows drive doesn't get made bootable.

You're asking the same questions again and again. They have been answered.
Clean target drive, during installation process before installing windows. Press Shift+F10 to open command prompt. Use diskpart clean method.

Sorry to bother you bro by asking repeat question. Actualy I do not have many knowedge about diskpart or cmd (but I can follow instructions).

So you recomend to
1) remove the hdd while installing

2) use the diskpart clean method to format the SSD. One question - will this also merge the EFI partition too with the SSD C drive or just both drive will be cleaned..and I will start installing in the c drive...

Diskpart clean - does what it says. It cleans target drive. There is nothing left on the drive after this. It becomes completely empty - no partitions, no data - nothing. Just unused space.

Ok, I understand now. So I am gonna use the diskpart metho on the SSD..then install the window 10. Then after install, window will allocate appropriate drive for the EFI. Right?

If, by any chance, it do not give enough space (give like 50/200 mb like before), I can use minitool again to give space to it..

You can't extend a partition, if there's no free space next to it.
You'd have to resize and move partitions next to it, to free up some space.

Actualy I did it using EasyUs partition software. I made a final reinstall window (used your disk clean method again), then use Easyus software. Now my EFI drive is 500 mb😇. https://paste.pics/FK005

✌️✌️Anyways many many thanks everyone for helping me, specialy thanks to @SkyNetRising for his fast replay and solving my doubts. My problem is now solved and I learned many things like GPT vs MBR, EFI file etc.
