How can I prevent unauthorized access on my home Wi-Fi network, especially when guests connect to it?

You can't really. This is not a technical thing. If you tell people your password you must trust them to not tell someone else.

To point it depends on what you mean. Many routers have "guest" function. This pretty much means users that connect to guest only have access to the internet and can not access devices on your network. They for example can not use your printer or access files you have shared.

Problem that still exists is if you are concerned someone is doing something on the internet that might put you at risk. Most pedophiles do not use their own internet connection. The police treat stuff like this as you are guilty until you can prove it wasn't you that was using the internet connection connected to your house.
