Hey peeps. My question is,

i5 7400 + GeForce GTX 1060
Vs
i5 7600K + GeForce GTX 1050Ti

Board is ASUS Prime z270-P.
8GB RAM for now.
Help! <3

Solution
I would go with the ryzen build. Cheaper and should have more longevity due to the extra cores/threads. And yes a GTX 1050Ti would be a good GPU until your ready for your next GPU upgrade.
Not for this situation. I'll definitely buy either one or the other combo, just unsure if I should go for the more powerful CPU or GPU for gaming.

I mean... Intel is simply superior overall in terms of CPU's and also more trustworthy, plus I've heard AMD CPU's get a lot warmer and I live in a pretty hot country (Portugal) and I have no A/C at home so...

If you cannot go Ryzen R5/7 or i7...then I would go with the better GPU. You will be bottlenecked in some games with an i5 (doesn't matter which on as it is about threads not IPC) but the better GPU will for the most part give you the best performance.

Which Ryzen model would you recommend? And I'd have to pair it with the 1050Ti since I'd bypass budget with both the Ryzen and the GTX 1060 , do you think that would be better?

From most review's I've seen the i5 7600k beats even the R7 1700 in terms of core performance. I have no idea about the threads issue though.

Short term, no it would not be better. Long term yes it would. If your on a strict budget 4C/8T Ryzen would be the minimum I would get, say like the R5 1400. If you could swing it though the R5 1600 would be ideal. Problem is I am guessing you would blow your budget regardless. you would need a new motherboard and CPU assuming your ram works in the new setup, if not then you have to replace that too. My guess is getting an i7 4C/8T cpu like the 7700 would be cheaper then all of that.

I can fit in an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Hexa-Core 3.2GHz ; Turbo 3.6GHz 16MB SktAM4 which is the one you're talking about. Do you think I'd be good with this CPU and GTX 1050Ti?
