Recently have been looking for a pc build but seriously struggling as i am a bit lost, having difficulty finding what goes with what and what is better than what.
ideally would want to be able to play games like the elder scrolls series as well as a few other fairly recent games.
i have a budget of just under 500
would also love it if i could upgrade it as time goes on in order to keep it current
do not require an OS or peripherals

480 is kind of difficult, I will use win 10 as trial and get this:

been using this but in the uk version there are not a lot of prices which makes it very hard to find anything

this is a great help thank you, have been looking at that processor myself, the ram is a little pricey, do you know of any that are on sale or discounted or anything, id happily take a cut and upgrade it in the future, these are just building blocks to my ideal one, thanks again mate!

whatever u do !!!!!!
take the 16gb ram!! its hilarious how cheap it is!!!!! everywhere else in the world is 1.7x the price of your country

my humble suggestion almost the same as vapour

^ partpicker uk has homestly always been a bit crappy at scraping prices.
Lot of stuff missing , lot of prices wrong.

We are sufferimg exactly the same as everywhere else for ddr4 prices , gpu prices at the low/mid range are still fairly reasonable

That viper 2800 I listed is the best priced ram in the uk currently as far as im aware.

okay so after a bit of searching and tweaking i think I'm going to go for something like this, i cant really afford to go a penny over budget at the moment but ill keep in mind any past or future suggestions when upgrading, you guys certainly helped a lot thank you!

ill be looking to upgrade a few times within the year anyway, just don't have the cash to drop all at once right now, ill take another look though deffo thanks dude

1200 is only 3.1 on A320, but B350 can OC it to ~3.7-3.8 with stock cooler, that is huge improvement
1300X is 3.5, may reach 3.9 with stock on B350, but less improvement compared to 1200, so I suggest either 1200+B350 or 1300X+A320 if you are on a budget, but not 1200+A320.

Final attempt to save for you:
