Under clocked GPU

Hi guys.
I have gtx 970 which is crashing on every game. i have under clocked it a little and it seems to have solved the issue.
though my question is. Will it stay under clocked if i put it into to a different computer or do i have to under clock it all over again? any reply would be appreciated, Thanks

You're gonna have to underclock it again, unless flashing bios with underclocked.

Have you tried changing PCIE connector (power) and replacing thermal paste?

thanks for the quick answer. yes i have tried different PCIE connectors..and this did not solve the issue. will try replacing thermal paste and update the outcome

Could you give your current specs? Might just be another components fault (psu most likely).

You are actually hiding the issue, it is not really solved. It's like turning the radio louder to hide engine noise LOL The card is failing (or overheating). It is likely to stop working even with the underclock at some point.
