Hi there, Recently I upgraded my rams from 96 Gb (12x8GB PC3L-10600R )to 192 Gb (12X16GB PC3L 14900R) in my Hp Z800 workstation. When I check the ram speed in the task manager, it is showing 800Mhz; before I upgrade, the ram speed showed correctly which is 1333 Mhz. I checked with CPU-Z before and after upgraded, everything is correct. I'm running currently dual x5680 CPUs, I know the speed CPU can handle, which is 800 MHz to 1333 MHz. What I am confusing is, the ram speed should be running at 1333 Mhz as a minimum for 1886 Mhz. Why is the task manager showing the lowest speed (800 Mhz)? I checked in the Bios, it showed 1333 Mhz. I can't change any setting for ram speed in this workstation because there is none. Does anybody have any ideas? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

From what I have read task manager does not always get that ram speed correct.
I would tend to believe cpuz.
Perhaps try a different tool to get another opinion.........hwinfo.
