Question Underclocking laptop - Throttlestop and stability versus battery life

Hi Everyone,

Any suggestions about how to ideally undervolt and underclock a laptop to save battery, but also maintaining stability?

Any favorite software?

Settings?

My laptop is Lenovo X250 with i5 5300u.

Throttlestop is the go to program for that. Large community. Good support by the developer.

I use it for overclocking, but that's another story.

I was wondering why my i5 5300u Lenovo 250 has limited options in Intel Xtreme Tuning Utility, whereas another laptop I just picked up, does have all options available. It is also a Lenovo x250, but it has an i7 5600u Cpu instead.

Do certain Cpu's get more options?
