[SOLVED] Undervolt a Q8300

Click on the Turn On button to take ThrottleStop out of monitoring mode.

Check the Set Multiplier option and below that, try lowering the Voltage ID. Look on the right hand side near the top to see what voltage your CPU is actually using. You need to be using the Window High Performance power profile for this to work correctly.

Drop the voltage to 1.20V and see if your CPU is still stable. Keep decreasing the voltage in steps of ~ 0.05V. Do lots of stability testing. Make sure that you can pass the built in TS Bench test without any errors.

A good Q8300 might still be 100% stable at 1.05V. It will run a lot cooler if you can get the voltage down to this level.
