Why would I try to match his settings? Like I noted above, if you tie Usain Bolt's hands and legs together you could beat him in a foot race.

I have Ray Tracing at ULTRA. A 9070XT can't even do LOW. Yeah, If I want to not use all of the features of the 5080 and under clock it. Mine is an OC Model, I'm sure I could simulate the click bait findings.

The issue is that it is total BS to act like a 9070Xt is anything other than a good choice against a 5070TI, nothing less or nothing more.

It won't be long before other 5080 users are reporting their findings as well. The people running around because of this article thinking that a 9070XT is anywhere close to a 5080, are going to be in for a rude awakening.

Just turned on everything in Cyberpunk with a 5080 and I get 298 FPS smooth buttery frames.
I think that if someone told me that $600 OC card A can run completely playable, pure rasterization faster than $1000 card B at 4K ultra settings, I'd be impressed. If I have to add gimmicks, smoke and mirrors to make card B pull ahead, I'd ask if the $400 is worth it. Of course this is Cyberpunk, which makes any card look good. I am sure the 5080 would kill most cards at 4k in pure rasterization, OC or not.

i would rather stock out of the box performance than having to OC something ..

I dont like Nvidia overpriced BS and frankly i wouldnt touch the 5000 series with a 10 foot pole ..

To risky for my liking ..

But on the flip side im not happy with AMD not offering me my 1000usd flagship this gen..

But i dont see a point to massive OC to try to get close to a 5080 !!

This statement makes my head hurt. We're talking about something that's nearly as simple as flipping a switch. Why wouldn't you do this?

That being said, I agree with you that I'm disappointed we didn't get a next-tier-up AMD offering.

That also being said, after sales tax and shipping, my 9070 XT cost $812. That's almost as bad as a thousand 😕

I would have liked to have seen benchmarks against the Radeon RX 7900 XTX... just to see how close it can get...
It would probably be an interesting comparison until you also UV / OC the 7900 XTX. Some of them have massive UV / OC headroom, just like some 9070 XTs. Mine can comfortably surpass 3.1GHz but I limit it to 2.95ish cause I want the card to last another 2+ years.
