Hello guys, this is my first post in this forum. I found that this forum is very helpful and i'm glad that i joined this forum.

Anyway, here is my question :

1. I have a Phenom II X4 965 BE (stock clock speed & multiplier) and a Deepcool Gammax 200 for the HSF. i searched any alternatives that can reduce the temp of my cpu. one of the alternative is that undervolting cpu.
This is my current voltage setup : 1.2750V (bios) / 1.264V (cpu-z)
The temps are fine ( idle @34ºC, full load @ 49-50ºC tested with Prime95 for 2 hours, no errors)
Question is, are those temps of mine are considered normal ? and about the undervolting, are those volt settings of mine are okay ? (prime95 settings & results included)

2. I have this set up of fans (pics are included), and i just want to know the best setup for fan placement.

Question is about the side panel fans, should it be intake or exhaust ?
And i want to know the best setup for fan placements.

Much appreciated for the help, and i'm sorry for my bad English writing:)

Hi and welcome to the forums! :)

Your temps and voltage are perfectly fine, do you know if prime95 fails if you reduce the voltage any more? you could perhaps try and get your temps even lower if you wanted.

The side panel fan placement really depends on what GPU you have to some extent, if your GPU blows it's hot air out the back of the case then you'll want the side panel fan to be an intake to provide cool air to your GPU.
However if your GPU dissipates it's heat into the case then you'll want the side panel fan to be an exhaust so it can remove the hot air from the case. (This applied to both side panel fans).
Anyway hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. And yes, i've experienced failure when i set the voltage to 1.2500V (in bios). Booting is ok, got through windows, running prime95 for like +-5 mins, and then the screen just blackout. As for the more lower temp that i would like to achieve, i would better take the Cooler Master Hyper Evo 212, because the reviews makes me interested. But again, i'd better ask for more better solution rather than taking that CM Hyper Evo 212 directly :).

For the side panel fans, now i understand. I'm still waiting for my HIS HD5870 though. It hasn't arrived yet. This is my pict of HD5870, it is different from the one in hisdigital.com though. I don't know what makes it different ( maybe because of the vendor in my country :| )

No problem, There's no real need to get the CPU temps down any lower, as technically they are perfectly fine, but of course if you wanted too a better cooler would certainly lower the temps.

It's hard to tell from that picture but if the black plastic shroud of the card covers the front and side of the card then most of the hot air will exit out of the back (where you plug in your monitor cable) so in that case a intake fan would be best.

Okay then, i'll just wait for the 5870. And then i'll post the real condition of my 5870.
By the way, do you have suggestions for HSF air cooling ? And, what do you think about the CM Hyper Evo 212 ?

Much appreciated mate :)

For a budget air cooler it's really great value, have you seen any reviews on it?

Here's one: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/cm_hyper212_evo/4.htm

I'd highly recommend it if you're on a tight budget.

Ah i see. And the reviews are great for CM 212 Hyper Evo. I think i will get it. Thanks mate :)
