undetected 4gb ram and freeze after reset bios

hi
i have a p7p55d with a i750 and 2x4gb ram 1600mhz , and an hd7870
today i installed windows 7 64 so that i can use my full memory
and when i took a look at the system info i've noticed that windows only detect 4gb of ram
i opened the pc and tried to remove and put back the rams
and when i tried to turn on it didnt start , the system turned on but no screen and no first bip
next i removed the motherboard batterie and put it back to restore default bios
and then it worked and it was back on again , but now it freezes in windows logo
and when i try to make a fresh install it freezes also at the logo
maybe its the bios config that i dont know
please help

Will it boot with either stick by itself? if not, good possible a bad stick, if so are the sticks in the correct/suggested slots, per the manual (believe A1 B1)? If both boot by them selves, might take one, boot into BIOS enable XMP, then power down install second and try again...if no joy let me know what it does

it freezes with both rams and with all dimms positions
i even tried to upgrade the bios and reseat it again but nothing

looke like i was mistaken , i only have 2gb in each ram , so that makes it 4gb , but still i cant install or launch windows now . i've set bios to default but still nothing
please help me

Might have knocked a power connection loose somewhere, check those

i still think its a bios thing but i'm noob at bios so

If all is good hardware wise should boot to BIOS, might try bench troubleshooting, have a guide here:
