I noticed a 346 GBP price diff between 3070 to 3080, such that the 3080 is cheaper.
It doesn't make sense.

In Amazon UK:

The price 1300 GBP is of "ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 Strix Gaming OC (8GB GDDR6/PCI Express 4.0/MHz/MHz/14000MHz) 90YV0FR1-M0NA00".
Link:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-GeForce-Gaming-Express-14000MHz/dp/B08KHHF881

The price 954 GBP is of "ASUS ROG Strix NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 V2 OC Edition Gaming Graphics Card (PCIe 4.0, 10GB GDDR6X, LHR, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a, Axial-tech Fan Design, 2.9-Slot, Super Alloy Power II, GPU Tweak II) ".
Link:

What is the reason to that?

There is only one left in stock and probably have been for a while. You can see the 799 GBP a bit below for used ones. That's the good retail price.

You can get a RTX 3070TI for 800 GBP
You see, it doesn't make sense.
Why would anyone buy that 3070 card if he can get a 3080 cheaper?
They should want to get rid of that card faster instead of making it expensive 🤦‍♂️

I’d say out of date pricing.

However there have been recent deals where a 3080Ti has sold for similar or even less than that 3080. If in the market for a gpu in the UK keep an eye on the site hotukdeals.

Don't buy the 3070, that's well over retail price because it's from a marketplace seller taking the piss. The 3080 Strix is more reasonable because it's sold from Amazon, albeit Amazon US in this case. There is readily available stock in the UK though at retailers like Ebuyer, Overclockers and Scan.

If you want a 3070:
https://www.ebuyer.com/1419134-asus...oc-v2-graphics-card-tuf-rtx3070-o8g-v2-gaming

For a 3080:
https://www.ebuyer.com/1414565-msi-...-graphics-card-rtx-3080-gaming-z-trio-12g-lhr

The Strix cards are nice, but they aren't that much faster really, you can get a 3080 Ti for a similar price to what you have there:
https://www.ebuyer.com/1260382-msi-...b-graphics-card-rtx-3080-ti-gaming-x-trio-12g

If you just love the Strix cards because you just want the best quality card you can then Overclockers have the one your after at less than the Amazon price:

Thanks!!

I'm actually contemplating between two cards:

1. Asus ROG STRIX RTX 3080 V2 OC 10GB GDDR6X.

2. ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 3080 OC 12GB GDDR6X.

There aren't really good reviews about those cards, it isn't clear which is better.

Do you mean the 10GB model for the Asus Strix or the 12GB?
Not sure where your looking but the 12GB Strix is £830 at Overclockers and the 12GB Tuf is £780 at Scan. The Strix is their premium line, you can expect a slightly better cooler, beefier power delivery with more room to overclock (pointless). It's objectively the 'better' card.

The Tuf though was still very well received and still has a very good cooler, it would be one of the ones at the top of my list if I was buying. If your happy to spend the extra £50 though then by all means.

If your actually comparing the 12GB Tuf to the 10GB Strix then I would want my extra 2GB's of VRAM so I'd take the Tuf.

I would guess that it is probably ^this

I can get a brand new Gigabyte Vision RTX 3060 ti OC for cheaper than I can an open box card

Brand new:
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-gef...4932454&RandomID=7480773216118420220823194204

Open box:
https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-gef...-8gd/p/N82E16814932454R?Item=N82E16814932454R

That simply means someone has neglected adjusting the pricing, right?
