[SOLVED] Unexplainable lag when gaming

Since this week I am experiencing incredible lag when gaming (offline). I did a benchmark(Unigine Superposition)on my GPU (GeForce RTX 2060) which worked fine. I also updated the drivers, cleaned up my HD (SSD, 203 GB available) but the lag remains. I have a Intel Core i5 Windows 10 version 21H1, and never had troubles before. I tried different games: 7 days to die, Phasmophobia, The Forest, VRC, but they all have the same problem. Once I ask a bit more than just staring at the wall, the lag starts(FPS goes from 60 to <10). Even on the lowest possible settings. Anyone got any ideas how to fix this?

What parts in the pc?

download hwinfo,
install and open it=click run,
close the top window which is the system summary,
in the main window at the left top click "save report",
at the bottom of the next window check "Summary for Clipboard",
after that you'll see what's in the pc,
copy by clicking "copy to clipboard" and rightclick+paste in your next respons

can also use this tool to check temperatures and voltages etc. to see if anything is out of the ordinary when this happens,

Open hwinfo,
check "sensors-only",
click "run".

When I run the sensors-only while having the lag, the only thing that turns red is the pysical memory load maximum (95.4%). I don't have sudden blue screens, or any other problems with my pc by the way.

Yeah 8gb can by now be to little to play games, suggest you upgrade to 16gb and see if you still have lags. Best step would be to get a new kit of two sticks, if you want to upgrade the one you have get at least the same for best compatibility and hope they will work together, which they should, but sometimes they might not.

I know 8gb is not that much, but can it really cause this big of a difference overnight? I used to be able to stream from my PC to my quest through VD, and still have reasonable FPS. Now I can't even play games on my PC alone.
