[SOLVED] uninstall windows 10

hi guys, is there a way to uninstall windows 10 from a old hard drive. i got a new mother board with m.2 slots and would like to install windows 10 on this hard drive. Is there a way to remove windows 10 from my old SSD without formatting? i do have some apps and games i would like to keep on my old SSD.

Yes

install win 10 with hdd in only
once win 10 on hdd, reattach ssd and make sure its not added to boot order

Once you in windows, navigate to old C drive and change windows folder to windows.old

then run disk cleanup and set it to remove old system files. - https://www.howtogeek.com/223821/what-is-the-windows.old-folder-and-how-do-you-delete-it/

That should remove the old windows folder. you will still have a boot partition on ssd but if its not in boot order, it shouldn't cause too many problems

you will need to reinstall apps as hdd won't see them on ssd., If games are steam libraries, you can easily reuse them.
