In the meanwhile, they don't have enough money to support researching faculties and teaching assistants? Cut CS department to save $1.4M? WTF

[citation][nom]lolflorida[/nom]Money isnt being shifted to their sports department. Their sports department is independently funded and basically operates as it's own division. The defunding of CISE is because the state itself defunded the school 30%. You can blame the Florida state governor for this. The only tragedy is that if the school cared, they could share some of their sports budget with other departments to keep them operational.[/citation]

Students do not have the right to an education at a higher level.

You have the oportunity and privilege only.

Likewise, Universities don't have the right to jack tuition way beyond inflation indefinitely and beg the legislature each year (especially during the recession) for money above inflation. That is tax payers money. It is not an endless cookies jar.

The Universities need pricing correction like anything else.
