unknown device in my device manager

there is a unknown device listed in my device manager. i tried updating the driver by right clicking on it. but it didnt help. there was a message quoting ' no drivers were found '
please help me with this.

^^ Or just google the hardware ID that you just copied. That would give you a good idea on where to start. I'm going to bet though that the unknown ID (assuming you have an Intel build and everything else is working) is one of those 'management devices' that Intel likes to put in their hardware.

Solution
It is ATI's own PCIe bus driver. Honestly never heard of that until now. seems to get left behind like this sometimes when updating drivers.

I would right click on it and uninstall, then restart the PC. It should then either 1) Use Microsoft's drivers for it or 2) will update the AMD Driver
