Hi Folks, I just turned on my computer and got a message that a device driver was installing. A few seconds later I get a message that it couldn't install. I checked the device manager and it shows two unknown devices in "other devices". The computer doesn't know what kind of device it is and can't find the drivers. Properties give me a "code 28" error. In the details I get this:

USB\VID_0000&PID_0000&REV_0000&MI_02
USB\VID_0000&PID_0000&MI_02

The problem is, I haven't installed any new devices and all the old ones seem to be working fine. All of the USB controllers say they are working properly. I uninstalled the two, rebooted and it happened again. Any ideas how I find out what these mystery devices are and what they want from me?

Thanks for looking, sh

Win 7 64-bit
ssd and hdd
8 gb ram
Radeon HD 7750
i5-3330 chip

Hi there, it seems that "Code 28" means that "a device" could not be installed. I know that you havent installed any new
devices; its strange i know because i am in the same situation; well not with the USB but with the chipset or cpu.
Have you solved the problem? if yes how did you do it?
People recommended me to reinstall the motherboard drivers, but i've already done it with same result.
Device Manager shows that a device has no drivers which is weird because i have the sound/network/ahci/gpu installed already.
here is the LINK with my post in case you want to see the details.
Could it be a virus? or could it be bugs in the mboard drivers?
