I have about nine unknown devices in my device manager!

I ran a program called Slimdrivers that successfully updated all my drivers supposedly, and its supposed to detect any unknown drivers and install those as well.

However the program says there are no more devices that need to be installed/updated.

How do I fix this?

Thank you!

Run your mb chipset driver installer. If it intel get it from intel. If amd chipset get it from amd.intel under there support has free scan and update your drivers for free. On a new build use the mb cd to install network..sound and use the cd that came with your gpu to install the gpu drivers.

I followed what you said and went to intels website and updated the drivers I could, but all nine unknown devices still persist.

On intels auto update utility it tells me that one device is supported and another just says error...

Let's knock some of them down. Look at your gpu if it amd use the amd auto detect or download the newest ccc drivers. The same goes for nvidia.
Use Cpuz read your mb info an model. Then go to the mb vendor web page and download the sound..USB...network drivers there. If not use the mb cd that came with your mb. Most mb use realtek sound chipset some use realteck network or intel chiset for the Ethernet port.
If you still have missing drivers use the device Id info and this web page to find the vendor.

The thing is 8 out of the 9 of the devices don't have any information in them.
I'll try the gpu and mb sites.

Yeah I know, but 8 out of the 9 devices show:

ACPI\VEN_INT&DEV_3403
ACPI\INT3403
*INT3403

The other shows the ID correctly, but I don't know how to find the driver:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153&SUBSYS_15071043&REV_09
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153&SUBSYS_15071043
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153&CC_118000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153&CC_1180

The codes in your last post tell you the device, and the vendor of the hardware.
for example it says one is for an Intel pro wireless device.
Or an Intel based Ethernet device.

So are we talking about a laptop here or a tower system.

PCI device\ Vendor of the device.
By the two codes you can find what the device is, and who makes it.
