Unpredictable typing

Hello,I just purchased a Samsung laptop, with Windows 7. Every time I type in word the cursor will jump to different lines, or the header section will appear the text will bold. I have another laptop without this problem. I am just wondering what the fix might be? or is the computer defective?

It could be that your wrist or hand is hitting the touchpad when you are typing. Perhaps try raising your wrists a little bit when typing to see if the problem persists.

+1^, also many trackpads have a sencitivity setting, you can raise it so a light touch does not move the cursor.
