Hi everyone.
Today I suddenly opened speedfan to check my laptop's temperatures. My laptop has really been slow, harddisk is 100% most of the time, very slow and gets stuck, and occasionally turns off while playing low-spec games (like Call of Duty2) compared to my laptop's power.
To my surprise, I see that speedfan is reading malfunctioned info:
Temp1 is 429496448C, and Temp1 is ACPI.
I know this reading is wrong, but this probably indicates some sort of chip malfunction?
My specs are the following:
Intel Core i7-3630QM @ 2.40GHZ - 2.40 GHz
8.00 GB Ram, (at this point, 7.89 GB usable)
64bit Windows 8.1
AMD Readon HD 7600M Series, 2048MB memory size
Now I know it is not reasonable for a game like Call of Duty 2 to cause -that- much overheating and turn my laptop off. Something is truly wrong.
It has been very slow for months now, harddisk is 100% used most of the time, I turned off most services and did alot of fixes that I found online.
I also do have a Cooler Master fan under it.
Just figured that this ACPI wrong reading might help me find the source of the problem.
Any help would be appreciated
