hi everyone just recently been letting niece and nephews play on pc and just noticed today that a small section of 6 icons width is unresponsive to click on. looked online and couldnt find anything to help and it only seems to be for my account all other 4 accounts icons work perfectly fine in that area. i do know that the section in question still works because if i have a program open i can click, close, type and everything from there jut not open icons from main desktop itself. i can drag and drop a big section like 2 x 7 and move the icons down a row to make work but i just like it organized

Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

it doesn't delete anything, it just stops non microsoft programs loading at startup. Easy to reverse.

if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
