[SOLVED] Unresponsive mouse and keyboard when gaming

Hey guys, I've recently built a new pc which works beautifully, with the exception of my mouse and keyboard.

It's a logitech wireless m&kb which runs from a single dongle, and normally works great without issue. However, when running certain games I have issues with mouse clicks not registering. This happens intermittently, but mostly when there's a lot of action on screen. Moving the mouse works fine.

The keyboard has a similar issue but less frequently. It becomes completely unresponsive for a few seconds and then all of the commands entered during that downtime seem to "catch up" all at once.

As of now I've attempted reinstalling drivers as well as trying different USB ports

Solution
The main convenience of wireless peripherals is that they aren't tethered to the PC and can work at quite longer ranges. Other than that, wired peripherals are better, especially for gaming since bluetooth, inherently, adds more latency. While on normal browsing, this isn't noticeable, but during heavier loads on PC (gaming with lots of action going around), the PC has to work harder and it can lead to a situations where PC just can't keep up all the inputs from perhipherals. Hence the backlog of inputs.

Few things to try:
  • test your wireless KB & mouse on another PC to see if the latency issue is there as well (if there is, issue might be with wireless KB & mouse).
  • test wired KB & mouse with your PC to see if you get any...
