I have a Transcend TS128GSSD340, which is not recognized by the BIOS or Windows 10 and seems unresponsive.
It does get a little warm when connected to a SATA power cable.

I have tried the power cycle method twice, without luck. I have not baked it yet.

However I have read about a M2 drive that could be reset with shorting two pins on the PCB. I have then opened the SSD and found a field with 2 pin wholes - one round one square - marked with J2.

My question, apart from whether anyone has got an idea as to how to bring the drive back to, is if the J2 - marked with a green arrow on the last picture - might be a reset switch.

Solution
The "safe mode" shorting points are used to force the SSD into a mode in which it is prepared to receive a firmware download or a "loader". It doesn't actually reset the SSD.

That said, I don't know which, if any, of the test points are the safe mode shorting points.

I can help you measure the onboard supply voltages, if you have a multimeter. It might be an interesting exercise, if nothing else.
