Hello

PC

CPU: Phenom X2 965 3.4 ghz (gelid tranquilo cooler)
GPU: Radeon 6870 Saphire
RAM: 2 x 4 gb corsair vengeance 1333
HDD: Seagate ST1000 (hybrid)
PSU: Corsair 500w
Windows 7

My PC recently has begun crashing.
It is like this: Screens goest black, monitor show no signal message and if sounds is playing then also sound begin to stutter. Then i must reset my PC hard. This crash have some variations.
Sometines instead of black screen i can see stripes, and sometimes my GPU fan goes crazy at 100% fan duty.
Mostly it happen while i browsing or watching video. Sometimes while i playing games. It is completely random, it can happen few times daily or just few times weekly.
Temperatures is complety normal, everything is cleaned regulary both at software side and hardware side, drivers are up to date.

I suspect PSU or GPU, my HDD has also some bad blocks but i dont believe that bad block can cause sooo much havoc.

Thanks for replies, any advice is welcome :) And sorry for my english

Solution
Try a live linux distro to see if the problem is software related. Burn image of a distro to a CD/DVD or USB and check for stability of hardware. If the problem is PSU related, then some similar problem will occur again.

The problem does not look like being related with bad blocks.
