Sure you can. AGP is far from dead. Remember, cards with Nvidia chipsets have more on-board horsepower so your older CPU will appear to be better than it is because the graphics card will be doing so much more work than it used to.

I think the Nvidia GeForce 6600 is their most powerful AGP at this time.
