Hi!

I have an ASUS Z170-a motherboard that I want to update the BIOS of.
However, I don't have an OS installed and therefore want to update the BIOS from a Linux Boot Stick (I have one already).

I found this: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Flashing_BIOS_from_Linux#ASUS, but I couldn't follow the instructions, since they were unclear to me (I don't even know what System Tools to download) and all the instructions on the linked website seem to be for Windows.

Thanks, help much appreciated!

Hi, thanks. I downloaded the newest BIOS version (from 2018?!) and flashed it using the instructions in the video. Everything worked as expected. However, the M.2 drive still doesn't show up. Do you have ideas for that?
